Student & College Pastor

Job Description

• The primary role of the Student & College Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church is to connect students to Christ and His Church and to help them become followers of Jesus.

Qualifications/Responsibilities

• Provide organization and oversight of the LIFE Group (Sunday School) ministry for students in grades 6-12 and ages 18-24 (College & Young Adults)
• Recruit, train, and lead the Student & College Ministry volunteer teams.
• Provide organization and oversight of weekly activities and special events in the Student Ministry division which may include summer camps, mission trips, seasonal retreats, fellowships, student worship services, and overall event calendaring.
• Provide organization and oversight of weekly activities and special events in the College Ministry to include weekly Bible studies, Passion Conference, seasonal retreats, fellowships, and overall event calendaring.
• Explore ministry connections with local campuses such as SIUE and Lewis & Clark Community College.
• Exercise diligence in building relationships with students and parents on a weekly basis.
• Work in connection with the NexGen Ministry team (Preschool Director and Children’s Pastor) to ensure a cohesive, whole-family approach to ministry.

• Reports to: Associate Pastor
• This is a full-time position.
• The salary is negotiable.
