Unity Baptist Church in Vandalia, Illinois, is prayerfully seeking the pastor God has prepared for our congregation and our community.
We are a church with many older attendees and a few young families, averaging about 100 in Sunday morning services. At this time, we are planning to go through a Refocus program with IBSA, even before we call a pastor. We feel the need to grow together as a church family so we can work together to reach our community.
The congregation merged Temple Baptist (with a newer building) and First Baptist (aging building) several years ago, and we have added more gym and classroom space. We have a physical tool to use for His Kingdom. We need a pastor who will inspire, energize, and lead us to fulfill the Great Commission.
There is such a need for Jesus in this community, and we pray that we will grow as a church in sharing the love of Jesus with everyone.
