As a church we are committed to expanding the Kingdom of God. We believe the most effective way to do this is through healthy churches that disciple and train leader. The revitalization residency at Cornerstone is both a formal and informal program designed to equip men to serve Christ’s church through a season of focused training from August to May (10 months). While some internships are more practical and others more theological, we’ve attempted to strike a careful balance of learning, serving, and leading.
Practical. Resident will have the opportunity to serve in various areas of church life.
Study. Resident will go through various learning modules for training. Modules will include required reading, video instruction, coaching, and NAMB resources.
Overall. Resident will have opportunities to serve within the church. During the residency, the resident will be part of church event planning, staff meetings, discipleship strategy and first impressions. The resident will be required to preach both on-campus and as pulpit supply.
Both the Practical and Study of this residency is to aid in creating a heart for Ministry in the resident to Prepare them to lead a church.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
We hope to invest in men who are humble, eager to learn, and aspire to shepherd God’s people and reclaim the glory and purpose of the church. Interns who are accepted are required to join Cornerstone as members, along with their wife and family (if applicable), which requires them to agree to our Statement of Faith and signing our Church Covenant.
A TYPICAL WEEK
Resident will meet weekly with pastor for accountability, attend staff meeting, and monthly coaching meetings. On top of that, resident will go through a practical ministry rotation.
The residency will require 3-4 hours per week for training and meetings. Study Modules are not part of weekly hours.
